RESIDENTIAL

Oisin House

Description

The new student housing that has been constructed is specifically designed for students and consists of 250 beds, facilities for disabled students, shops, a healthcare center, sports and recreation areas, and support spaces for the Estates & Facilities team. The building spans over six floors and has a total floor area of 12,110 square meters. Known as Oisín House, this building is located on Pearse Street and has been built to serve as a residence for Trinity College students, with a healthcare and sports center incorporated within the building.

Although it is situated in Dublin, Oisín House has a modern look and feel and is a unique interpretation of the surrounding environment, creating a new vernacular for the city. The courtyard layout is not only an extension of the sequence of Trinity squares but also serves as a public city square, acting as a gateway between the College and the city, and bringing vitality to this previously inactive area of Pearse Street.
