Dublin Airport Hand Baggage Upgrade

About Project

The project required upgrades to Dublin Airport Terminal 1 & 2 hand baggage systems which consisted of retro fit projects. All areas consisted of phased decommissioning and replacement of existing EDS, new conveyor lines, and all associated civil, structural, mechanical and electrical works.

There were significant structural alterations which included many new mezzanines and platforms and in some cases, the load-bearing capability of the existing steelwork structure was increased to support larger and heavier equipment.

To connect Terminal 1 & 2, a new building was being built to connect the two, the baggage control building. As all works occurred in a live operational environment, the phasing of the works had to be carefully planned.

We supported our client on the project with custom built family production for the required equipment on the project.
